I had a colleague who used to say chimberley instead of chimney. I've actually heard others do the same.

There's a Mars rover called Perseverance. Obviously this is pronounced percy veerance. However I've decided it should be per severance. It sounds much better. Fortunately I don't think I've ever actually had a conversation with anyone about it.

The second option for the rover name sounds natural to me, being a word of Latin origin and all that, but I'm not a native speaker and my English is wobbly, so I probably got that one wrong.
