you'll find the "serious" cyclists tend to do that more than the casual bin-man on his way to the yard...

I only ever get "the nod" fromother people in lycra on road bikes... anyone else blanks me...

That's because they are 'cyclists' too, the others are just people on bikes

I have often seen (and been victim to) the old 'Roadie' vs 'Muddy' thing - whilst on my road bike I get ignred by guys on MTBs and vice versa

Try putting tri bars on your bike - you get ignored by everybody!

So what did I do wrong yesterday? Normally I get some acknowledgement from almost every cyclist I pass (I always nod or say a cheery "hello"). But yesterday I was completely blanked by three different cyclists, ranging from super-sporty to average shopper. Perhaps it was a bad hair day.

I would like to point out that on Thursday I got a "hello!" from two different lollipop ladies
