I have since raised the saddle several times, still not at handlebar level as @User13710 suggests though.
Raised it until now I can just reach the pedals and no more :laugh:
Very good.:thumbsup: You don't want to raise it too far as that would cause problems too.

Since that earlier thread, CycleChat has introduced me to an easy way to judge the right height. This is to set it so the leg is dead straight when your heel is on the pedal at the bottom of the stroke (in flat shoes of course :whistle:). The knee will then be just at the correct amount of bend when the ball of the foot is on the pedal. The height can be fine tuned for preference from there.:thumbsup:
