Has said hat been purchased.

No, not yet. I received an email today from Village Hats saying they've received the brown Borselino fedora I returned and I should receive my money back in 8 to 10 days. I'll probably order/buy one of the Bates Bruand fedoras soon, after I've made my mind up about which colour to buy. 🤔

Just be careful not to order from Village People Hats by mistake. The thought of you in a leather cap with chrome accessories is quite disturbing!

Myself and Mrs W strolled to the pub in the next village for tea, it was a lovely sunny evening. I wore my new Moleskin suit and felt pretty cool, however not as cool as on the walk back in to the bitter N.E wind. I should have gone for a heavy weight tweed 3 piece. Those Linen suits might not be getting the light of day for a while.

I've had problems this last week deciding what to wear. The weather looks nice when inside, but when you get outside it's been :cold:! The only day I wrapped up, in a 21 ounce tweed suit, it was quite warm(ish) with little wind. One day I wore a lightweight wool 2 piece suit and was bloody freezing in that horrible north east wind!

Agreed. I went out in a dark blue cord jacket an matching shirt, a nice bit of schmucker. Normally the jacket is quite warm but that biting North wind had me scurrying back home for my Barbour.

My new linen suit was out this afternoon, top tip: wear a vest.

English use of the word vest. £12 for 3 on the indoor market, or £25 for one “base layer” sold as sport apparel.

I may wear a base layer when doing outdoor actives such bicycling but I haven’t worn a vest under shirt since junior school. I thought this was the “ mens dress style thread”😉
