Or a GB flag because of the treatment of the Irish , the Scots and many other countries around the world .

It's tough to find much high ground when it comes to national / political symbolism.

Yes but only a right raging Gammon thinks that the UK is 'cool' anyway.
I see what you are saying, but the point I was making is that it's funny how one symbol of an oppressive and authoritarian regime is seen as being ok, cool, even, but another isn't... And then people accuse me of being the 'Thought Police'. 🤦
So, the question still remains... Using the logic given, would you be ok with someone wearing a Swastika? 😆

It's a practical choice really, cos my feet are a slightly weird shape I'm hoping that the extra lacing will help me adjust the fit a bit better.

Yep, I get that, I also find the same with cycling shoes, lace ups fit me a lot better than any other type, I have awkward feet too.

I worked with a Polish woman who considered the Soviets to be just as bad as the Nazis, so, no, just no.

When someone who grew up and experienced the CCCP until 1990/91, before experiencing the chaos of what came after, tells you that, you listen!

It's like people going to places such as East Berlin, wearing DDR/Soviet things because they think it's 'cool'. It's never a good look
I think you’re blowing a light hearted conversation out of all proportion, we are all aware of how bad the occupying Soviets treated those who were behind the iron curtain, where do we stop with all this, you can’t wear an American M65 jacket because the Vietnamese people working in the local nail bar might get upset, or stop veterans wearing their berets & medals on Remembrance Day because some one from Northern Ireland or Argentina, Cyprus, Aden or god knows how many other countries might get upset, I am well aware of how various Eastern European countries view the former Soviet Union, indeed one member of staff at a customer’s site was telling me how bad it was growing up in Ukraine in the eighties, and believe me there was no love lost there, no one is saying aren’t I the Jim dandy wearing a Ushanka!

But @Drago (and the rest of you) have avoided the question I posed:

Now, you talk of drawing the line and I was being called by Drago, the 'Thought Police,', but if you 'live and let live'... Where DO you draw the line... Can you?

The question was, if you allow all of these other political symbols and statements of dress... Do you also have to
accept someone wearing a Swastika?

No?
Who's the 'thought Police now?

In short, you accept everything, or none at all. Anything else is just hypocritical shite.

I had a slight verbal altercation while out and about this afternoon. As I was walking along minding my own business, Two males spotted me and decided to give me some verbal abuse. They called me some choice names and one of the peasants even broke wind loudly to add to the uncomfy situation. Then one of them asked where I lived. I decided to respond and said "I swap between Milan and Paris. Where do you like to pretend you come from? Let me guess, Benidorm and Blackpool maybe"? I think it might've been my pale pink chinos that set them off. They were wearing vests, below the knee baggy cargo shorts, socks and those sliders objects. Both were as wide as they were tall short as well! Why do I let these types bother me I ask! I should take it as a compliment that they felt the need to say something, due to what I had on. If you aren't getting noticed then you aren't doing it right, is now my clothes wearing motto!🧐
