Style of function, they are decorated to a point where they distract from one of the main purposes of shoes and hold water and dirt, with a plus point of being ****** heavy clunkers.

The brogueing isn't all-the-way through so doesn't let in water, though I believe that may have been the case originally.

Given he doesn't have a wife, and no longer cycles, I'm not sure that will be too much of an issue ;)
i could be forgiven for presuming the latter

Any Cordings purchases are on hold for the foreseeable future as their 10 percent off sale had ended. In a way they've done me a favour as I was spending hours pondering over should I buy another suit, or buy some corduroy trousers instead and if so what colour should I buy. Even though I have a Cordings 10 percent off voucher, I'll wait till their next sale to get 20 percent off any purchases. I'm now thinking of buying 2 pairs of Peter Christian cords. They are half the price of Cordings cords, but don't seem to be half the quality of Cordings cords. The only problem I can see is the leg length. I'm around 32.3 to 33 inches these days, depending on the make of trousers. I did buy some summer light wool trousers from Peter Christian a few years ago in a 33 inch inside leg, but found them too long, so I sent them back and asked them to send me the same trousers in a 31 inch inside leg, which fitted perfectly. If I buy from them I'll get both pairs in a 31 inch inside leg as the P&P and returns are free, so if they are too short I can either ask for 33 inch inside leg lengths, or just ask for a refund.

If I do buy 2 pairs of cords off them I'm going to go for the purple ones and either the corn yellow ones, or the burnt orange ones. 🤔

They must take inspiration for colours from the Morris Marina colour chart.

I received my annual Christmas card from Cordings today. Damn! It contains ANOTHER 10 percent off, which if I add to my already 10 percent off offer will give me 20 percent off anything I buy from them. The suit and navy cords thoughts are back on ffs!! 🤔

Heck, even more temptation! The other day I posted that if I were to buy the house tweed suit it'd be a 2 piece suit as they didn't have the waistcoat in my 40 inch chest size. Well they have now!!

It's also tempting to buy the action back jacket, rather than the more 'town and city' one. The none working half belt, vents on the back to get that 12 bore higher, those cartridge pockets and those two side pleats rather than a single middle one for horse riding give it a much more 'countryfide' look. 🤔

I already have those Skipton Tweed rust coloured trousers. I'm thinking of buying either the above green or brown jacket and those navy cords. Both jackets are 21 ounce tweed, which is what I want for the forthcoming cold and wet months.
I like the below suit, but it's only a 15 ounce tweed which isn't warm enough for me for those months.
