Everything about this is a cry for help!

I think I'll buy these more conservative red ones, rather than those in your face bright yellow ones. I already have a pair of red Cordings moleskin trousers, but I do prefer corduroy to moleskin. 🤔

Any Cordings purchases are on hold for the foreseeable future as their 10 percent off sale had ended. In a way they've done me a favour as I was spending hours pondering over should I buy another suit, or buy some corduroy trousers instead and if so what colour should I buy. Even though I have a Cordings 10 percent off voucher, I'll wait till their next sale to get 20 percent off any purchases. I'm now thinking of buying 2 pairs of Peter Christian cords. They are half the price of Cordings cords, but don't seem to be half the quality of Cordings cords. The only problem I can see is the leg length. I'm around 32.3 to 33 inches these days, depending on the make of trousers. I did buy some summer light wool trousers from Peter Christian a few years ago in a 33 inch inside leg, but found them too long, so I sent them back and asked them to send me the same trousers in a 31 inch inside leg, which fitted perfectly. If I buy from them I'll get both pairs in a 31 inch inside leg as the P&P and returns are free, so if they are too short I can either ask for 33 inch inside leg lengths, or just ask for a refund.

If I do buy 2 pairs of cords off them I'm going to go for the purple ones and either the corn yellow ones, or the burnt orange ones. 🤔

You're thinking about Michael Portillo's attire, when he wears the whole colour wheel in one ensemble! Then on the other hand we have J R Mogg who's never seen out of his navy suit and blue and white striped shirt. Wouldn't he look a lot less stuffy if say he wore pastel linen or cotton suits in the warmer months, but no he wears that suit all year round, even on hot days! Though he does allow himself to take his jacket off if it gets too unbearable.

JRM could wear whatever he wanted and he'd still look like a Victorian wand.

those yellow cords will be bad at picking up chain oil, no matter how careful you are oil marks will appear up the inside right leg - and then the wife will go nuts.
