How much smaller can they get before we decide enough is not enough?
I haven't bought individual Mars Bars for a long time as a protest at rising cost and shrinkage. However my local Semi-Chem had 9 bar multipacks in the other day and I let temptation get the better of me.
I think these used to be called Fun-Size, but there was no mention of that on the wrapper.

9 bars....

A single....

Decision time now; is it two small bites, or one reasonable sized one?
Back to boycotting Mars Bars then.

My brother is in the trade, being the owner of a vending company. He says his sales on Mars Bars and chocolate bars in general are a small fraction of what they were a few years ago; and his supplier says the same.

This is one of those 'ongoing issues' with us folk of a 'certain age'. For example, are Wagon Wheels really smaller, or is it simply that our mouths are bigger - ?
Look on the package to get the net weight of said product. Then you'd have to go to a museum of packaging - yes, they are about - and do a comparison. But then what do you say to Mr. Cadbury / Mars / Nestle - ? Oi - ! this Mars bar / Kit Kat / Aero isn't as big as it were when I were wee lad - ! They would simply argue inflation, rising costs of raw materials etc., etc.. The fact that a Mars bar cost 6d in 1967 and now costs 13/- equivalent in 2017 is a moot point - !

Mars will say they only have your health in mind when reducing the volume.

And by keeping them the same price they're preventing you from going out and buying more of them to compensate, how thoughtful are they?

What is the fun in a chocolate bar that only last one bite.

Wagon Wheels used to be six inches, when bought/sold indivually, in diameter. That measurement has remained the same over the years, unlike Wagon Wheels.

Mar Bars in multipack have always been "bitesize". Even individual ones are smaller these days. Expanding waistlines was the reason given for reducing their size/weight.

Weight(Mars Bars) has gone from 60g, to 56g and will soon be dropping to 48g.

The price will increase by 2p - 5p though!

@Brandane, I blame the increase in the number of vending machines, that are being made to get as many as possible into smaller areas for the reduction in size.

Dont buy them, they have all shrunk within recent years and the prices gone up.
I wont buy Cadburys because of the fact they took production to Poland and made people here redundant. Is Mars Nestle? or is Mars a company by itself.
Chocolate bars dont even taste of anything.
Mars isn't Nestle.

i wrote to Cadbury's after they put 29p on the Whole Nut bar. They more or less said that the £1 bars i had been buying were a promotion.Well Cadbury's you lost a lifetime customer. The Off License has a great choccie bar in at 50p or 60p.And it tastes great.

I can't stand all this guff about "fighting obesity" as an excuse to reduce the product size. If they were that bothered they'd be selling treadmills and oats instead.

If they said "we're leaving the size the same, but upping the price because we're a bunch of profiteering corporate marauders" I'd have a lot more respect for them.
