I know of two people who have bought them, even at the inflated price it would be a lot easier for me to buy one now than when they first came out.

I had to do joint funding programme with my parents to get my first bike.
I gave them every penny I had. They bought the bike.
Then I paid them out of whatever jobs I got to cover the debt.

Some Raleigh bike, 3 speeding 3, dynamo light, about 1958, red.
Covered some ground we did.

Houses normally appreciate in value, over time (not usually over a few days).

Bikes normally depreciate in value.

I think you might find choppers have not devalued.

At least it looks like a Chopper now. The Mk3 was hopeless - no banana seat and no T-shifter.
