That'll teach him not to cycle on the pavement
That wouldn't be near Babraham per-chance?I was on my was home this evening and needed to pull over for a second. Spotting what looked like a small lay by, I slowed and pulled over only to find things weren't quite as they seemed!

I pulled over once to take a jacket off. Pulled up to the end of a little country lane, and put my foot down on the verge, which was raised above the tarmac level. Except it wasn't, it was LOWER and the grass was long. I leaned over, and kept leaning, until I flipped over completely and ended up upside down in the ditch under the hedge, still 'on' (or under) my bike, wheels spinning lazily..
Luckily there were a couple of members of the group behind me, who helped pull me out!
This made me pmsl!! I bet it felt like slow motion when you realised the grass was long & you kept falling

I'm a bit disappointed here, I was hoping for one of those cartoon style outlines of a body shape in the mud.
I think I would need a lot more than CX tyres to get through it, possibly skis and a lot more speed!an excuse to buy a cyclo-crosser, methinks
Yup, that's the place, the fact that it floods at the first sign of rain didn't cross my mind, it just looked a nice firm and smooth surface!
Reminds me of when I was on the Commando Walk - a yearly sponsored event at my school, where you went out and did 'challenges', mostly involving mud, it being the middle of the winter. One lunch break, with everyone eating their sandwiches under a bridge on the towpath, I decided to go up the slope to find out what was up there. Not much, it turned out. Coming back down the slope, what with the mud and no grip, I suddenly realised I'd picked up too much speed, and wasn't going to be able to stop in time. All my friends saw was me, for no apparent reason, trotting down the slope, over the towpath, and into the canal.I pulled over once to take a jacket off.
