I was fine, just got completely covered in mud cleaning the wheel. Unfortunately, after going upright, the bike fell onto the rear derailleur (as you can see in the photos) and has bent the cage out of line, hopefully it can be fixed with a bit of brute force!Ooops
Everything ok with you and the bike?
Yuk indeed, it really did smell awful! And there was me thinking with the nice weather I wouldn't have to clean my bike as much!
I'll try harder next time! I'm hoping that the warm weather will dry the mud leaving my hand prints for future generations!I'm a bit disappointed here, I was hoping for one of those cartoon style outlines of a body shape in the mud.
Was that mud or cement?
There is a Quarry near to where I live that is next to the cycletrack at Dumbuck, between Dumbarton and Milton/Bowling.
Running from this quarry is a stream that is right next the path, and seems to consist of a grey sludge of indeterminate depth.
As kids, we used to dare each other to jump over it as if you stood in it, you would start to sink immediately. I have always wanted to know how deep it actually is as it seems to me that if someone was to fall into it, say a small child, then..... Well, you get the jist.
I'll need to investigate the next time I'm along there.
I was on my was home this evening and needed to pull over for a second. Spotting what looked like a small lay by, I slowed and pulled over only to find things weren't quite as they seemed!
