Big night for the Welsh. The whole nations league position based playoff system is a bit bizarre, but doesn't half liven up the last bit of qualifying, especially with one-off matches, rather than 2 leg bore fests, and gives some of the minor teams (e.g Georgia, Luxembourg) a sniff of a qualifying for the Euros proper..

Yes, the way they selected the countries to go into the playoffs was totally bizarre, using results from a completely unrelated competition. But it did get Wales into the playoffs, so I'm not complaining too much

and transformed a load of fairly meaningless international friendlies into a more coherent competition with a tangible "something" to play for.

Maybe. Either way it's good that it's free to air. Might watch a half in Gaelic and a half in Welsh.

It was Airdrie won 2 - 1 in the end btw @The Crofted Crest - decent game too.

Google tells me it's on SC4 but my tv magazine shows only a Scotland friendly.
Terrestrial is showing the England friendly.....no thank you.
