I completely forgot I'd already predicted - I'm not normally so punctual and assumed I'd left it until the last minute again!!

D'oh. I'll stick with my original predictions, though I am no longer confident in a Newcastle victory with the devastating news that the talented (and handsome) Cabaye is away back to France.

Joe Kinnear really is something else. Near the end of his second transfer window and he's sold Newcastle's best out-field player and loaned a Championship striker. Inspirational stuff for the Toon faithful...

Ah, the FA Cup. I did a round a couple of weeks ago but only Marmion and I played and I had meant to do another but, because of a series of this, that and the etcetera, the last round crept up on me.

Yes, Cabaye is talented. I didn't realise he'd slipped off to PSG. I get the impression that he wasn't completely happy at Neufchâtel-sur-Tyne.

He was annoyed when Newcastle turned down Arsenal's (derisory) £10m bid but I think he has been pretty settled since then.

The problem the club has is their daft signing policy, which is basically buying players then improving their value before punting them at a profit. Financially it makes sense, but it's difficult to achieve anything on the park when you keep losing your talent.

It seems daft to me that a club of Newcastle's size isn't regularly challenging for honours, yet I've seen Killie lift two cups in my lifetime... I graciously point this out to my Toon supporting mates when they give me grief over my love of Scottish fitba.
