You can nominate teams to add after each round of fixtures (I believe).

As AndyRM says, there's a bit of time after the results go up when players can add another team to the list. I'll make that window a little longer - I'd kept it short because I was trying to avoid having to do a second set of lists on the Football thread and taking up more space. That though is no longer a problem.

The current teams are:
Arsenal
Manchester City
Manchester United
Newcastle
Norwich
Sunderland
Swansea
Aston Villa
Tottenham

I must say that I'd thought there would be more added by now - there are a few notable absentees - but as nobody has nominated for a while, I guess our current players are happy.

Right, this is to announce a new pundit - Mark Lawrenson - to join our game as a virtual player. Each week he does predictions for the BBC. I thought it might be fun to see how he gets on alongside the rest of us. He'll start on 30 points (as soon as I stick his predictions on the spreadsheet). In theory I could trawl back through all his predictions to date and put them on but life is short, concentration even shorter. It might reassure you to know that so far this week he's picked up 1 point.

Oh I got a point!!

Assuming well be opening team nominations after today, I'll chuck in Chelski, Crystal Palace, Hull Tigers and Cardiff Dragons. If Scottish teams are allowed, stick Kilmarnock in for a bit of gallows humour.

Not sure if it's been said, but cheers @deptfordmarmoset for keeping this running and organised. It's an entertaining distraction.

I'd rather limit the extra team to one per week - so which is it to be?

So far, apart from a separate sheet for internationals, it's been limited to the premier league. If I carry on next year, we could have teams from any league, provided it's easy enough to get the fixtures and results. I actually like the idea of people being able to pick their own local team - more inclusive and we'd get to know more about how smaller teams are getting on. I'll do an ask-around post at the end of the season.
