They are not deemed road legal here.
I don’t understand this, there are loads of non-Uk supplied imports on the road, why specifically was this stopped?
Perhaps it was a trivial issue such as lighting/red indicators

I don't think they have even applied for type approval for it yet, and that is required before it can be road-legal in the UK, apart from one-off vehicles.
Whether it could get type approval, given the shape and design is questionable at best (which may be why they haven't applied).
Apart from anything else, they're far too ugly to be seen on our roads.
Back in those days, the salesmen used to tell me you don't need air con because the car has a sunroof and I always used to think what an unusual view that was.
