Looks in much better condition than I remember, but I see it's succumed to the grey curse. It was called the Tateshalion when I was a youngster, and changed its name to the Greyhound in the early 90s I think.

It was called the Counting House when it reopened in the early 90s after Malcolm (the chap who wrote the Facebook post) restored it. He sadly died last year before this was resolved (if it really was). The saga of his dispute with the tenant and the local authority was pretty bonkers. I agree though, it would be great to see it back at its best.

No bike on this jolly jaunt, just a walk starting at 03:50 to reach the Trig Point by sunrise.. Daughter & I made it with no time to spare!

On the walk down to the Great Ridge towards Back Tor, I noticed this nose shaped rock.. The left side, looking at the pic, is to the Footpath. Ti the right is the Bridleway. The carving is now barely discernable, sadly.

And finally, a metal milestone.
