Out of Sequence

Found in the Waiting Room/Museum
North Queensferry railway station

Whilst waiting for a train to Waverley Station, l picked up this book, for a donation.
It’s signed by the author, & foreword contributor
I’ve run over the Bay, in a well-guided/way-marked race, but wouldn’t dare venture out there without expert knowledge!

Amelia & Sam (daughter & b/f) had gone into the centre of Edinburgh
Joanne & l went out my car, & were at North Queensferry
We were heading to ‘The Kelpies’ & Falkirk Wheel afterwards, so instead of driving back into Edinburgh to pick them up, we got a train in, met them
Then, the 4 of us got the train back to North Queensferry, to continue to Falkirk

’TickleCock Bridge’
Essentially from Cambridge Street, to Jessop Street
(the market hall is behind me)
Castleford

Seen here, from the north, the main shopping area side
It passes under the railway line between Castleford & South Milford/Selby

I’ll let you work out how it got its name….
Wakefield Council (Castleford is part of the Wakefield area) wanted to rename it to ’Tittlecot’, there was local uproar!
Perhaps local residents had fond memories of their own, from the darkness of the bridge?

Surprisingly there seems to be only 3 photographs on Geograph; https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/567383

See, ‘naming controversy’
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tickle_Cock_Bridge

EDIT; Friday 14th @ 08:13
As seen by the Geograph images, this is a replacement 'bridge'
There's a couple of photographs of the previous (original?) underpass here; https://www.e-architect.com/england/castleford-project-bridge#google_vignette

@ 09:25
I've found one, though it uses the rejected 'rename'; https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/11129

My second favourite local street name after Pontefract's Slutwell Lane.
