One sleep.

Van filling day ! Need to remove all five seats and the folding table, then refit the two captain's chairs in a rear facing direction along with the table. (the van has five rear seats, two of which can be reversed to form a 'lounge').

Then, load it up with camping shizzle. Will test the bed system today - haven't done more than fit it and bolt it down.

Also need to find space for the twin and single seats in the garage - dare not put in the house as the four cats will have a lovely time prickling the leather chairs. I will need help lugging these out as they aren't lightweight.

I suspect we will fill the van.

Looks good @fossyant ,can't wait to get away myself !
Because ours is small...Berlingo I always try and pack it neat, compact so nothing is rolling about the back or inside the boot jump. With the rear seats out it's surprising how much crap you can get in.
Then on the way back it looks like a bombs hit it 🤣
If you've a Home Bargains near you those heat logs/compacted sawdust or whatever they are, come in a pack of six are brilliant for fires and logburners.
Enjoy.

Just got two of the self lighting heat logs - we were given them at our last visit to Shell Island. We're in a big group at weekend, and we usually take firewood, as well as another person. They've told people to bring wood as well, so it's not just relying on a couple of us. I've just chucked everything in for now - I'll organise it better once there and I fold the bed system out and put the awning up. I'd be packing much more carefully if I was in the car !

Tested the bed system folding out - you have to slide the two chairs under the bed system (very easy). It's a little 'wobbly' so I've fitted a couple of rubber bungs between the lowest bed panel and the car interior, so it's rock solid. I paid out a few quid for tailored black out blinds - these just press into the window recess - I don't think I'll need the suction cups at all. I went for some that are light grey on the inside (to match the roof) and black on the outside for a more stealthy look. I did ask MrsF to make some, but she didn't want to ! :surrender: Just got to hope the awning stays attached as Shell Island is well known for wind (hence lots of wind breaks). I've got the big camping tarp/sail if not. I'll take a few pictures of our friend's set up, she's a little Citroen C3 that's she's adapted as a micro camper.
