The stock numbers have been going down fairly quickly over the last couple of days, assuming you are a Large, then I guess you have a couple of days left. I am not sure exactly when the promotion finishes though.

Orange or Green for you?

I still cannot let the thought go. Would a 28mm let me attack bridleways and canal paths as well as light touring, commuting and the pub? I guess 28mm works on the likes of Paris-Roubaix, but what about grit and light mud?
Absolutely!
I'm going to blow my budget on 23 mm Archetype rims which with a 28 tyre gives a beautifully rounded profile. You could stick a pair of M+ on and go for it! The frame is likely to be fairly springy anyhow.

Any chance of you weighing your frame for me - I am cooking up an alternative that is a bit left field.

Well the frame is definitely cheap!
But it's very well made and finished. Heavy is relative, compared to CF of course, but It's probably not much heavier to an old 531 frame for example so no big deal. I didn't bother to weigh it. A carbon fork would make a bit weight improvement.

It rides really nicely, goes well, reasonably stiff laterally when you give it some beans it shoots forward, but on my 28C tyres eliminates all but the worst road buzz and bumps. It certainly doesn't feel heavy, just solid and sure-footed.
You won't regret.
