I certainly intend to join, it's just taken me a bit longer this year to really get going on the bike. I normally would have hoped to have done a 100km ride by now (which will almost certainly be my target) but weather and circumstances have intervened. Hopefully will get started before Easter.

Welcome back to the challenge @Alex321

That’s 7 of us up and running so far this year.

@steverob and @cyberknight ... will you be joining us soon?

I was also hoping that we might see a qualifying ride from Tuscany this month ... @Sea of vapours ? 150+km rides too much in the heat?

haha i forgot about this , yup im up for it 12 metric centuries for this year but not sure how i go about it ?

You need a total of 13 rides at your chosen distance in the calendar year.

If you opt for 13 x metric centuries, then you've already done two of them (I think).

Your first one was mid-January in the 2025 Metric Century A Month challenge - and you did another one last week - posted in the 'Your ride Today' thread.

Post these two rides in this challenge thread:

... and you've got just less than 9 months to do 11 more rides.

Simple ...

Alas, you won't be seeing any from Italy - at least not from me. Today's was 143km, but I'm with a group and extending things is very much not a viable option. It's not hot: 10-12C peak today, though a bit better in direct sunshine.

I thought heading south would be warmer than Lancashire too.
However, though I managed to get sunburnt arms and neck in Shropshire, it was never warm enough to be tempted to roast legs as well.

I'm still using winter boots! Not even considered shorts or short sleeves

Before the posts in this year’s challenge become very long, can I suggest some changes to the way that qualifying rides are posted.

The other Distance challenges have rules that minimise the length of posts and that also aid legibility – we should do the same.

Please try and keep ride descriptions/route details down to one line. Or post a longer ride description for the current ride – but edit any previous ride posts down to one line.

So (if you want) … post Ride 1 in full, then when posting Ride 2, edit Ride 1 down. When posting Ride 3, edit Ride 2 down etc.

That way, all ride posts other than the current one consist of just one line.

Only use Bold to highlight your latest ride – please don’t use Bold in all your ride posts.

I always do only bold the latest ride, but most of mine have gone on to two lines, I will try to summarize more.
