Last in 2020, probably equal last in 2021, third from last in 2022, must have been slacking in 2023 as looks like I got it done middle of the month, now back to my best as last to finish again this year! Nothing like consistency.

But I have managed 130 consecutive months of at least a 50km ride (22 of those were before joining this challenge), so that's something good.
I did check the other day you were the twelveth finisher in 23 which ruined your consistent run

But still no one has come as close as @MikeW-71 in the 1st edition in 2015 when he actually finished his ride just pass midnight but past 50km at 23.50 on New year's Eve ,now that's leaving it late

Thanks to @13 rider , or the evil nudger as he’s more commonly known on here, for doing the organising and helping motivate people to get out when maybe not so inclined.
its very much appreciated, and, I’m sure, well paid.😋
"Evilll " that's said in the voice of Wallace if you saw the Xmas day show , What you mean I could get paid for this !! £££💰💰

As I'm at a loss as I can't do a nudge list for January 2025 I thought I'd just give everyone who entered in 2024 and has yet to get a ride in for January a gentle reminder that the days are slipping away as January passes it's time to start the madness again, You know you want to , apologies to anyone who's already committed to doing a ride this month but I just feel the need the nudge (bully) people into getting going 👍

I don't think there's much else that you can do.

I know of a couple of people who've yet to get off the mark - and they're both planning rides this week (a nudge probably wouldn't be welcomed.. ).

I also know of one person who has ruled himself out for this year's challenge.

I'm sure that anyone else is more than aware that time is slipping. The weather's also getting worse .. I don't know about Leicestershire but over here the rain arrives tomorrow evening and is set to stay until 2nd February - heavy rain, light rain and sometimes very windy - and what we get, you guys generally get a few hours later.

I know but it makes me feel better 😁, not looking good here especially as I like to get an imperial ton in

Puzzle game procrastinator!
So much for 4 dry days to start the week!

I had thought of doing a decent ride today but when I got up I saw that it had been raining and it has been raining off and on since then.

I don't mind a shower or two in the summer, but cold winter rain is a different matter!

What really puts me off is that my winter bike is out of action. That is the only one with mudguards.

The day forecast to be dry with sunny spells keeps moving! I will wait for it to actually arrive and do my ride then. If it doesn't happen this week then I will just have to overdress and put up with the rain next week before I run out of time.

Dodge the dodgy weather is a horrid game to have play. Especially in month 1…….

Fingers, toes and eyes crossed for you

I've discovered a very local problem with this challenge. If I'm short of a couple of miles near home the only possible extra loop involves two climbs!

Ha ! Familiar 🙄 One route I do leaves a long and reasonable climb to within a few hundred yards of home. One time I ‘attacked the climb’ knowing once done I peeled off left and was virtually home.

Arriving at the peak with burning lungs and weak legs I peaked at Strava to see I was more than a mile short. Round the block I went. Not moving very quickly either 🤣🤣
