I'm out for this year, unfortunately. Was hoping to manage the November entry on Friday, but it didn't happen. I may manage December, let's see. Here's hoping next year goes better for my cycling.
That's a shame ,I think November is a tough month and with this year's weather making it worse

Finisher no2 ,that's me 😁 . Waited for the rain to pass out the door at 12 for my regular loop out to Upton and back .Went at bit mad and averaged over 17mph which is fast for me helped by a tailwind home on the fast bits where I was flying 😁

So today's ride saw me complete another year in this challenge making it 10 consecutive years (120 months) of at least 1 50km ride per month . I've being in right from the start back in 2015 when @ColinJ set up the challenge and have been the challenge administrator from 2016 . I'm so thankful that I've been able to stay fit and healthy enough to keep on getting rides in . Thanks to this challenge I've made some really good friends both virtual and in real life . This challenge changed the way I rode and spurred me on to further distance and entering both century challenges . Thanks to everyone for have participated over the years and I hope I've kept the challenge the friendly challenge it should be and apologies to anyone who's cursed me while pushing on to get a 50 in but I've got thick skin .
The challenge will be back for 2025 ,I do enjoy watching people progress and administering the challenge even if it's like herding cats at times 😁 . Good luck those riders yet to get your final ride in for 2024 and hopefully see loads of you ready for the madness to start again in January and good luck on everyone's cycling journey

We have a finisher 😁, congratulations to @Bazzer the 1st rider over the line for 2024
Edit
Just seen what time you posted you must have been keen
I woke up at 5:30. Getting my ride in early in the month ticked so many boxes and the time of day gave the pleasure, (at least for me), of enjoying some of my ride in the dark. Ten minutes or so later the rubber was on the road.

Yay! Another year in the bag! I did try yesterday, but the weather was foul, I forgot to put on a mudguard, and I had had a great Saturday in the pub. I did ten miles.
Today started out wonderfully sunny, but the clouds and showers came in, but I was in the groove by then and finished up with 36 miles on the clock. I will now start the annual puzzle of trying to place a star on my signature. Any guidance would be most welcome.
This near Shotley.

That’s me over the line for another year. Completed but not “finished”: I hope to do at least a couple more rides in this challenge before the end of the month.

I will (hopefully) be back in the challenge next year too – I’ve worked out a way of doing these rides alongside longer (Lunacy/Eddington Improvement rides) which involves going somewhere new and progressing other cycling projects, such as walking/cycling the GR347 footpath, without going crazy that I’m not doing 80+km rides every time I go out on the bike.

I took about 30 photos today and I reckon I’ll still be sorting them out tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime, here are a couple of photos from the centre of Malestroit … for @Cathryn who enjoyed here brief stop here earlier in the year.
