Does anything made of pure wool count?

Merino. Grotesquely over-priced, itches like hell, and quickly gets eaten by house moths. People drone on about its virtues almost as much as about Goretex.

I've got an Alpaca jumper that itches unless you wear a shirt under it. My ex went on a 3 week holiday to Machu Pichu amongst other places in South America and bought it back for me, it is undyed in the four natural colours of the Alpaca (Cream, Grey. Brown and nearly Black) hand knitted in a block pattern similar to the Inca buildings. It's too warm unless you're outside.

Tweed, stinks of pish and itches like a begger

Only if you wear it next to your skin, which I can't think how/why you would.🤔 🧐 And to me tweed smells of lanolin, if it's 100 percent tweed. :okay: On about it smelling of pee, it used to be dyed using animal and or human pee in the process. Wool is supposed to be self cleansing, so if you pee your pants while wearing it the natural anti bacterial qualities are supposed to neutralise the bacteria.

I don't wear man made fibers these days, apart from when I'm dossing around my flat, meaning usually a man made fiber fleece (without a hood as I refuse to wear hoods🧐), sports shorts and that's about it. I go for cotton shirts and cotton underwear and cotton or wool socks, and wear tweed, wool and cotton velvet, corduroy outerwear. I Like silk, but only in ties as I've had silk shirts which draped poorly and you couldn't really wash them as they deteriorated after every wash, even though they were gently tepid water hand washed using a wool/silk friendly liquid. I bought a pair of Dents leather, silk lined gloves a few years ago, where the lining fell apart after a month or two's wear.
