Tesco inner tubes

Don`t do it.................please

I`ve just learnt the hard way - 3 times, leaving me stranded at work, I fit them, pump up, and the seam fails so the tube isn`t even repairable. They weren`t even prepared to apologise or give me a refund so it`s name and shame time.

I guess you get what you pay for.....................

Halfords for me Get when on offer at 5 for £9 (with BC membership). I don't think they are any worse than Specialized or Schwalbe. I've not tried Conti

Wilkos ones are appalling however!

Panasonic tubes have been pretty reliable for me, pretty cheap at Ribble and you get a free plasma TV* too.

Ahhh Tesco inner tubes- buy 2 get one 1 free and with any luck the third might work.
I'm still running on the Halfords ones from a while back when the c*cked up their spend £5 save £5 code.
Bought some tyres the other day with free Michelen Butyl tubes, seem to be holding out well.

I've only had actual punctures, ie thorns or glass on Tesco tubes.

Didn't get along with the Halfords tubes. I bought 5 for £9 as above but 2 of them had dodgy valves and and over a few hours went flat as a pancake. Could be a bad batch tho perhaps

I got my TV but could not find the Valve to inflate it

Continental are OK but I mostly use Schwalbe, fwe or ITS. Kenda are so so. I've just fitted two Vaverts in one bike and so far so good but not that far yet.

I picked up the two for £2.50 in Decathlon - one is in the saddle bag, not had to use it yet.

Not had any issues with planet x tubes, usually tag a few onto an order to get free delivery

Michelin for me. Lightweight, and I really like the smooth, unthreaded valve stem. Doesn't wear out your track pump-head so much, and you don't even have to think about whether to use those pointless threaded collars, as there arent any!

Doesn't it make it difficult to use screw on pump heads, though?

Mine have been fine. They're like Wellington boots in comparison to the Planet X tubes. Cheap too.

No - the end that a screw on screws onto is threaded.

Isn't that bit also what the track pump head clamps onto when you flip the lever?
