My wife collects Skeckers.
My utility is chockers with them.
She even 'bullied' me into having a pair for my Birthday.
I don't want any more fekking Skechers!

SKECHERS CHALLENGE - BKOOL SUMMER CUP
Thursday 10th August: 11h, 18h, 20h. FRIDAY 11th August: 2h (GMT+2)
The Bkool Summer Cup lands in Italy! You'll be able to ride on the famous Milan - San Remo to pay homage to one of the most beautiful professional cycling races in the world. And we couldn't have found a better sponsor for such a special week.
To participate, you only have to choose between 11:00h, 18:00h, 20:00h or 02:00h (11th) and complete the Challenge with the rest of Bkoolers.
Among all the participants who finish the stage in one of the four schedules, we will raffle two pairs of running Skechers Performance! We recommend that you don't miss this opportunity!

Seriously thinking of going back to a motorised bicycle, can't think why:

Got it, I like the colour blue!

I always liked the V engine Honda. The noise it made was ace.

The bike looks to be a Honda cx 500 so I suggest you stick to plan A

Your probably right there Bill, hadn't got around to studying the motor.
You sad old get.
Didn't even notice that it was a water cooled in-line V-Twin,which there are not too many of.

They must be cheap to get hold of because there are quite a few Cafe Racer conversions on-line:
This one not hiding it's feathers quite so much.
Wasn't the most exciting bike of the second half of the 70's but was far more successful than Suzuki's RE5 (which had a wankel engine)

Started new job today ... hopefully get more of a work/life balance ... not this week though as I'll be travelling a lot to meet all my new colleagues. Hoping to do a ride Thursday, which will be the first one for 3 weeks  gonna be a whole lot of pain :cursing:

All the best in your new contract.

If only I could bother myself to go look for something different.
I would have been a rubbish proper sub contractor though.
I was one for 10 years but only had 1 contract, for the whole 10 years, and then I took the job full time and I am still doing it 7 years later.
Before that I was in the Services, as you know, for 24 years and before that my only job was as a paper boy which I did from 1973 to 1976.
That's how I saved up fro my first 'racing' bike build.
Only good thing is that my CV is quite easy to write should I ever need to again before I retard, sorry I meant retire.

The above one at least has decent wheels and tyres but doesn't have a rider on it to distract from what it really is. I love some of the modern retros and I'd be very tempted for old times sake if I could justify the expense. Not that I really enjoy biking any more and unfortunately I'd not be allowed to keep it in the living room where it'd really belong.
This is what I'd have given the choice:

Anyone up for doing the Summer Cup tomorrow? With those hills we'll need to be in the best shape possible which would be tomorrow rather than Thursday. CG will be another flat one.
