Noooo, i was hoping to use Jim's ghost as a pacer  Looks like I'll have to ride my own race

I'll be with you Whortmiester - every 5, 6 & 17%. And there are hundreds of them... did I mention dead stops? No? Oh there are loads of them too..

Be careful out there McGoat Face... the road is littered with crank, chain, derailleur and don't forget to nod as you pass @Randyberlin memorial stone... he was a fine man....

Pop a plaster on your fingers to stop blisters on your gear fingers...

Best of luck

Your friend

Jim

Come and join us .... I've not been on the bike much recently and need some help

I can't McGoat Face... I'm still hurting from Thursday..

No seriously....

It's ********** brutal..

You may join me ... but i fear we'll only be together on the start line  I'm a tail end charlie so i'll be way back by the time you guys put the power down :surrender:
I'll be there with an old derailleur that kind of works. New one on its way.
Remember to start" all the way to Mephis" by Mott the Hoople with 15 seconds to the start for max power off the start.

The route name is Bunyola and the warmup starts at 5pm race starts at 5:10

I've added all available ghosts. Sorry Jim, no sign of yours anywhere even though you completed the ride on Thursday.

Don't apologise @BILL S its not your fault. Such was our dislike for the stage on Thursday, my ghost agreed with me that neither of us would ever ride it again.

Wow, 79.7 km/h to 7.5 km/h in a split second! Must have disk brakes fitted... ;)

Actually 7.5 km/h is more realistic (for me at least) on a 12.5% incline than the 79.7 km/h. It seems to allow the momentum for about 4 seconds and 100 meters, then suddenly it compensates by removing it completely!

A clearly broken algorithm, which should have been backed out as soon as it was shown to be so broken!

I bet Zwift avoid any such savage transitions, from -3.6% to +12.5% instantaneously, on their carefully crafted courses.

Not that I have noticed but then their few courses are scrutinised all over FB for realistic feel etc. There is some criticism of the accuracy of the drafting. It seems to work for me. As I chased my 100km today I would surf from rider to rider at 3-3.5w/k and then settle into the draft dropping to 2-2.4 before moving on. I also got spat out the back mid ride due to user error and in no time was minute and 15 behind and had to ride 4w+ to catch the peloton at which point I settled in and gratefully recovered. It was just like a real life ride.

Much the same today with the dead stops at the same places...

https://www.dropbox.com/s/k14capq4fq9q980/Bkool Indoor 18_02_17 17_10_42.mp4?dl=0

Check out 1.5 km into the session and again at 4.2 km, where the problem affects AAAC, Bill, Brusgaard and Whorty, but Edu Basozelai sails past, making up over 2 minutes in just a few seconds.

What a cr*p route. I has been a long time since I've experienced that kind of dead-stops. Maybe I should try and connect my old 2015 Pro (FW 3.02) and see if things change? Have another race tomorrow at 10 AM, so not tonight.

At one point i was doing 54kph, the next 3.1kph .... had that been in real life i'd have been ride over the handle bars :B)

That's the reason why, I wear a helmet, even when riding on Bkool. Just like Cipollini. :-)
