This was Jacobs idea and he has been inviting would be contenders, as he see them, to understand if there is any interest.
I must admit I admire the idea but personally I probably could not manage 3 back to back sessions.
As an individual BKooling is and escape from 'reality' that keeps me fit, i.e. on line gaming with a twist.
I certainly, for various personal reasons do not want to get mixed up in any press releases or coverage but if anyone else is keen let me know and I will pass on your names.
Not sure why he thinks dead stops only happen about 8% though?
BKOOL NATIONS CUP:
Which country has the best bkoolers? Spain, Great Britain or Denmark (I have chosen these three countries as we dominate most leagues and livesessions, but more countries could participate)
Saturday 25th march at 11.00 there will be an event with 3 sessions and 5 riders from each country.
The 5 riders must be named one week before the event.
The three session will be available in good time to make it possible to practice and make tactics.
One route with good climb but max slope of 8-10% to avoid dead stops.
One route with a lot of small climbs.
One velodrome-route.
The riders get points from 15 til 1 at each session and the country with most points after all 3 sessions are the winners.
There will be a time limit of 20-30% at each session.
The next session starts 5 minuts after the last rider has reached the goal / the time limit is reached. If a rider misses the timelimit he is out for the rest of the event.
Bkool HQ equips the avatars with jerseys in the national colours.
To prevent non-participants from joining the session it should be locked, but at the same time it should be open for spectators.
I think the event should be run in the Bkool Spain/world name and have a lot of attention at facebook, the blog and everywhere.
In Denmark we will do it like this:
- We have a season-rankinglist with more than 900 danish riders and the 5 riders at the top will be awarded a spot at the team OR we make three tryout-sessions and awards the 5 best for the team
- The 5 riders and a Head of Team meets in a Danish cyclestore on raceday and do the races from there. That will make it possible for spectators and the press to come to the store and follow the races. Bkool Nordic would hopefully help with the technically setup.
- Both the cyclestore and Bkool Nordic should provide a cycle jerseys for the riders to make then look as a team.
- We will try to get some live streamning on facebook
- I will make a press release and sent it to Tv-broadcasters, local papers, cycling-magazines and online cycling-sites, and hope for some attention. Towards the big medias I will write about bkool as an active kind of E-sport, because E-sport is a lot in the medias in Denmark at the moment.
- After the event the riders, Head of Team, the cyclestorestaff and bkool Nordic staff will have fun, eat a bit and drink a beer J
Let me hear what you think of this idea. It is BIG and I am aware that it might not be possible
