I have realised quite quickly that I might need to work up to some of these big climbs. I live in a VERY hilly part of Wales, and love my hill climbs on the bike! But out of the saddle on the Pro Trainer is not a familiar feeling. It'll come! But I need to get my BKool miles up, get 'Turbo' fit!

Yes it feels weird out of the saddle. I'm wondering if raising the front up on a brick or something would make it feel better. After all, when out of the saddle you're usually going uphill so if riding a long uphill section for miles at 10% gradient it would be a simple mod to put something under the front rest.

I don't use them but I'm sure they not actually on the screen it just shows on the map were they are also if you are drafting them or them you it shows on screen but not sure about an actual figure on a bike[/
Any thoughts on why my opponents are't turning up? Do you think they could be intimidated by the new guy?

Have you checked your setup on whether multiplayer is on?

Just got promoted to Amateur 4, anyone got a list of all the different levels?

It used to be:
  • Amateur
  • Amateur+
  • Active
  • Active+
  • Professional
  • Professional+
  • Elite

I think the + was removed in favour of the number with the big update earlier this year. I guess numbers in each level run from 1 to 10. When the update came out I was Active 3, then went down to Amateur 7 before moving back up to Amateur 10.

Need to have a look at that...once my bike has had some work...well alot of work done to it...new rear hub for starters...
It's listed as Extreme and there seems to be different segments up to 40 miles long. Profile looks like about 5 Alpe d'Huez one after the other. Might need to take the whole day and keep the watts down.

I reckon the best way to move up a few levels is to find a half hour climb and just keep the power on.

Anyone know what it takes to get bumped down a notch or two?

Just fired up the new Kickr - the resistance is a bit of a shock after getting used to rollers. It's well-weapon, although wiggle will need to explain the euro plug.

Tried out a simple spanish loop but the laptop battery gave out on the final slope. Then I tried an FTP and scored an Active 7 (310W average) although the last minute was digging very deep.

Did you need to make any adjustments on your derailleur or are you running a 25-11....don't think I'll be challenging any of your runs....awsome power

Any session over 30 minutes affects the level. So if you take it easy it should drop you down.

I was wondering if that were the case but so far I've not moved down any levels. Since I got the trainer moved up from amateur 4 to active 5 at 290w but most recent 3 runs around 250w. Still active 5 though.
