Probably won't be back in time... This week's giro has a lovely 16% section so good luck if it's that!
On the Neo on those steep grades I have to stand on the pedals in my lowest gear.

Doing the featured ride at 4.50/5PM UK today. Anyone else joining?

Maybe. Are you doing the Vuelta Stage of the Day, or the Giro stage?

It was the Giro one. Said 126 riders on the main screen. I joined and I was 1/1 and 30 seconds to start. Waited for the countdown to finish and see if the other riders somehow magically appear. They didn't! Exited and joined again at the start line, some 40-50 seconds (around position 120+) behind the real start guys. Made up around 70 places before the long climb, then (got) dropped back around 10 spots, but clawed most of them back again over the climb and downhill section(s). Came 32nd overall (based on time), not too bad given no useful draft buddies the first 7km or so.

However, I finished around 10 minutes behind "World Tour rider" "Lloydie" and his buddy Phil. ^_^ No wonder both their profiles are private. :laugh:Pushing 5.6wkg/avg. for 29 minutes is pretty standard for a 60year+ Parkinson patient, right?

I like how his profile has a racing team name attached now. Do you think he is aware he's cheating? Call it out on the bkool discord.

Phil was doing 300-400w+ on the downhill sections. Pretty sure he isn't using a smart trainer either, as that would require 130-140 RPM at all times, given no resistance. A big fat heavy wheel on an exercise bike however would offer some nice resistance to push on.

I would have joined you had I seen this earlier. I ended up on the eCKD ride on RGT which always make me realise I'm the wrong shape for riding in Denmark.

Yes they will both be on spin bikes with no resistance control that 16% section no issue without resistance
Lloydie and Phil are interesting folks I wager. I think I was in a league with one of them a long time ago. Wonder what their bike setups are like?

Lloydie on a shoot spin bike with no resistance control via bkool.
