Anybody taking on Chris Froome this week? I'm working or I'd put him to shame. I guess it's probably best to not make him feel bad by getting beat by an old guy.

I would, but I think I have pneumonia. So being ready for a mountain climb 2 days from now is highly unlikely! :sad:

EDIT: Doctor ruled out pneumonia, but the infection number (31) derived from a blood test showed that I likely had some sort of virus, which of course they can't do anything about. :sad: Being 31 on day 4 of feeling sick, it was still too high to go to work, as I would still be infectious. Great when I start new job tomorrow! :banghead:

Wow that sucks. The Flu is making an unusual summer appearance here. Hope you'll get over it fast. Is it a new position at the same place or a new company?

Different company (https://sp-group.com/) after 8 years in the previous one. :okay: My first day has now been postponed till at least Thursday, as the new boss unsurprisingly didn’t want me around infecting the rest of the IT-guys. :smile:

Get wheel soon

Thanks, I don’t start till Tuesday now. :sad:

Coughing less now, and not as much yellow mucus. Now it has moved on to my nose instead, and combined with the hayfever, it is clogged pretty good. :sad:

I hope to get on the bike tomorrow for a short and/or slow spin. Will do an indoor ride, just in case. :okay:

You must have an understanding new boss. But like you said better to not take the virus to work.

@Brusgaard
Hope the new job is going well. I see from your outside rides you’re over your crud.

@shimceltic

Where you been man? I’m worried sick.

I had a work football game last Wednesday so spent a month trying not to be injured, not played for 3 years. The football went well and I'll be back on the bike ASAP now.
Then 2 am today I woke up with chills and bad throat..... Positive test and wiped out now.

Oh no. Hope you have a quick recovery. Back in March I got the Paxlovid when I got it and it wiped it out in 2 days. But you’re probably too young to get it.

Uh..you have obviously not seen my “fitness “ sorry I never use that app. Weird. Did you try the Beta version?

Edit: forgot to give you a kudo for that double climb the other day
