Couch potatoes don't spend as much time training as you.... I'd hate to see what your weight is when you retire!

I did the yearly last year and saved a lot.
But not available to me.

Wow ! Pushing out the watts the whole way. I better get serious about losing some weight and training on hills.
Cheers Randy - the weight loss and my tacx flux turbo have made a big diffefence. It's good to peddle in circles - I didn't realise how out of true my rear wheel was on my old Bkool turbo.

I still enjoyed the first half of that ride rather than tbe second - but I try to keep my cadence the same on the hills as on the flat, which I struggled to do previously.

I'm on a Tacx now also and it is way harder on the hills. With the old bkool I fooled myself I could go up steep hills until I tried the Double devil in Wales. It kicked my butt. I was so far behind the race Marshall was following me and taking down the signs as I passed them. I finally gave up and @BILL S was kind enough to ride with me back to town from the first feed station.

I think any trainer can't give you the real life scenario. It might recreate the effort needed but it doesn't sit you there on a 20% hill with gravity and weather etc
