My race last night was small, only 208 riders. I came 28th on the road (I was leading the race at one point early on). A very rolling course, with a couple of bumps. Road was wide enough last night and not too crowded

i may try it for a while staying on my pro so i may get hounded out

Hi mate

I think I know you well enough to know what you’ll like and dislike about Zwift. Because it is definitely a mixed bag... I’m not sure how interested you’ll be in all the waffle about ftp’s, weight loss, and training plans. But I do think you’ll enjoy the racing. Because once you’ve gotten used to the gimmicky crap on the screen and the wierd dashboard, the racing is really really good. If you’ve looked into the other thread you’ll of seen we’ve got a league going and I think that’ll be right up your street.

I personally couldn’t care less what trainer people use. Some are more accurate than others but I don’t think any of them are close to real life so it doesn’t matter. It’s just the fact there’s more people in the races. That and reliability is the only real selling point of Zwift over Bkool as far as I’m concerned. Otherwise I’d still be on Bkool. If you get a subscription I’ll try and walk you through the basics of getting started if you want.

Nice 1

I’ll PM you tomorrow to help you get set up and not clutter this thread up anymore. Or maybe post in the other thread. It’s all pretty straight forward once you work out what to do to join a race nothing else matters really.

Great post

Thanks Keith. I think a lot of the same applies to you too be fair mate. Although I know you really like the video feature on Bkool and don’t want two subscriptions. I really like the video rides so I got a bigringvr sub. Which I think for both is about £20 a month total. But maybe if my Bkool pro hadn’t conked out I would of just stuck with Bkool.

You are absolutely right Tommy. I, like everybody have no idea what the future holds, I suspect that due to its appalling customer service and total lack of regard for its users' experience bkool will go bust, in the medium term, as it continues to lose users to zwift. At that point I will need to make a decision what it is I don't know. I am blessed in having good, rideable weather through out the year ,I've only had to abort two rides because of weather this winter so turbo trainer is an extra for me, not an essential winter need. Until I need to I'll stick to bkool and hope we can keep the small group of diehards going to give us the option of racing and video on the same platform. The video rides, on alpine and pyrenean climbs that I know are more important for me, s a climber, than the racing but when bkool does go bust look out for me drafting behind you on zwift and failing to out sprint you at the end!!

Even tho I`m not riding the races etc on BKool because I`m riding on my Hammer (after selling my Pro) and the rides on
the Kickr or the Hammer are so much harder than on the Pro its near impossible to be competetive, I do still keep my BKool
subscription for use with training rides, I think the real life rides turned into 3D mode are superb and I really enjoy riding them.
I`ve said before BKool have such a great simulator which would be a real shame if it went under, everyone seems to be using
Zwift and its getting more and more popular as time goes on, I think its a real shame BKool don`t pay attention to whats being
said and do something to make the simulator more equal to all smart trainers. It would be great if people with Kickrs , Hammers,
Neos etc started a group on BKool and used the BKool simulator for rides and races as you all do here. Maybe that would keep
people using BKool and hopefully keep it going.
