Once Team Beige, always Team Beige :hugs: You can never unfriend me

You should come over and try the dark side - we've started doing ChainGang rides now. Starting to feel like the good old days. 12 of us on Thursday with another 4-5 wanting to join in but timings not quite right last week  @BILL S doesn't know the fun he's missing

Won’t be long before all competitive rides are created and managed by Bkool. The problem for the big boys.. @AAAC 76C @BILL S @Aleman etc... they’re too good for it unless they take up Danish citizenship. Summer cup, Winter cup.. but what else? They would thrive over on Zits...

I’m going to try keep going...I just gotta work out a way of cycling without “irritating the prostate” .. not so much of a problem in the VW, but I need RW. I am however looking at a new trainer..

@Aleman rides over the darkside, but rarely races. He races more on BRVR where he has set up a climbing 'goats' league.

I have a prostate problem too at the moment. Enlarged, which I can't help but think has been aggravated by my increase in riding. Had some tabs which helped a bit, but now off the meds the issue has come back. Need to go back to docs but I'm putting it off as don't want him telling me to reduce the riding!

What trainer you looking at? I'd love a dedicated trainer like the new NEO bike, but it's slow coming out. I'm waiting for the others to get theirs and test it out though before I part with any dosh.

My doctor knows I do miles and in his letter, stated “cycling may be contributing to my Prostatitis” which is causing infections. I’m off on holiday next week cos I’m fed up of it.. on my return, I’m off to the consultant for more “thorough” tests and investigation.

I can’t bare the thought of not getting out in the RW ....However.. if I have to, I’ll invest in VW and pursue hill climbing for fresh air.

Don’t want to though :headshake:

No problem
I see a lot of riders having wings in this years BWC, so I have stopped fighting for the overall win

@JacobSkovsgaard
It ammuses me the way Pep Tatche always needs to win a stage. He has ridden quite a few 3 times and bests or equals guys who have produced rediculous stats so I get what you mean.
I am always at work for the live Thursday sessions in the Cup which I always used to enjoy.

What's the correlation between cycling and prostate problems? Asking for a friend

We’re all different however, cycling, posture, poor set up, saddle choice, roads and distance can ‘irritate’ the ‘soft tissue’ and ultimately the prostate.. I will also include age... aging sees an increase in prostate size, add this to perching on a lump of plastic, bouncing around on lumpy surfaces, can upset the internal bits...

I like long rides and due to my inability to climb very well (for the past 40 years], I tend to spend a lot of time seated... thus a grumpy undercarriage..

I have coped ok with Prostatitis over recent years but it now appears to be causing me urinary infections..

If you suffer numbness, loss of blood flow or pain in the perineum.. invest in a saddle which supports your sit bones and allows for your ‘soft tissue’ - a cut out..

Hope that helps..

I've been using this saddle for the last 5 or 6 yeArs putting in long days and have never had any problems.

This is what I’ve using on trainer and road. https://www.outdoorgearlab.com/reviews/biking/bike-saddle/specialized-power-expert

£70 if you shop around.. very firm under the sit bones which I prefer. Short and very narrow nose.. which I prefer as I ride knees in.. I have 155mm saddle .. 135mm sitbones..
