I've bought a Bkool Go a couple of weeks ago and have some issue with it. The support desk is trying to be supportive, but haven't solved the issue yet. This seems to be the only active thread / forum so I'd thought I'd ask here.

Every now and then my speed / power gets stuck at a certain number. The simulator still simulates resistance, but doesn't register my actuall speed anymore. The "virtual speed" text dissapears and the speed / power will be stuck no matter what I do. I'd might cycle twice as fast or stop peddling at all, it doesn't care. Sometimes it all of sudden starts registering speed / power for a couple of seconds again, but usually falls back to the stuck values shortly.

This might sound usefull if you're stuck at 500watts, but it mostly is stuck < 80 watts. It's frustrating when you're in a competition and gave it your best and in the end everyone passes you the last mile because the power is stuck at 40 watts. It's even more frustrating if it's stuck at 0 watts, because the software will kick you out before even finishing.

What I tried:
- New indoor tyre. My tyre was creating too mutch static energy according the helpdesk.
- ANT+ extension cable. The dongle is now 1mm from the trainer.
- Cable instead of wifi (I am on 1gbps). I also turned BT, Wifi, Firewall and Virusscanner off.
- Reinstalled the software
- BT instead of ANT+, but still the same problem

Anyone every had simular issues? I like Bkool and their competitions, but so far about half my rides have issues.

PS: Might be the wrong thread... Sorry if it's better off in the FAQ-thread.

:welcome:

You're in the right thread but most on here, like me, have the original Bkool Pro units. Must say I've never experienced any issues like this so personally not much help I'm afraid. All the things I'd suggest you try, like move the dongle closer to unit, turn off all BT things etc you've already tried. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Maybe they don't want to ^_^

When I did stage 3 this morning, the portraits on the CYCLISTS tab were all wrong, and during warmup I saw this female ghost. Oh well, another Bkool error, I thought. But soon realized who it was...

“She” showed up again in the rerun this afternoon, so went to the Bkool site to check out this “female veteran 2”...

Phew, that was hard, especially being caught with only 1 km to go. Needed something like 30-40 seconds to pass @perswe in the overall rankings, but only gained like 2 secs.

Had @AAAC 76C only waited for me a couple of kms more, I just might have succeeded. However, I think with an avg. HR of 162 BPM, and having done Stage 3 earlier today, I would have died anyway...

Your telling me. I couldn't stick with @keithaitch .
But you seemed to be doing well so I thought that together we might pull him back and then I lost you. I spent the rest of the race getting no closer.
In the end my heart litteraly came out my mouth.
I had to take a few tugs on the nitro-glycerol and lay down with my feet up for 15 minutes to get my HR back below 100. Not a nice momment or three.
Then a shower and then 2.5 hours in the flics watching Bohemian Rapsody.
Stood up at the end and got cramp in my left inner thigh and had to sit back down for 5 minutes. Not a nice moment or three again!

That normally a sign of the trainer loosing comms with the PC.

Other thing is your power lead not being pushed right in or being tugged by its cable or the power adaptor plug is not 100% in the socket.

Well, @keithaitch already confirmed he was covered in fairy dust on that ride, so I knew he would be hard/impossible to catch. I was however surprised how long we did hold him (and the others) off. Had you dropped me earlier and jumped onto his wheel, I’m sure you could have followed him. :boxing:

After you left me after 9 km, it was just one long struggle to keep the group with you, Bill and Per behind me, with the lot of you always being within 5-20 seconds of me.. In the end though, the matchbox was empty, and you and Bill pipped me on the line.

Not nice with your heart “problems”, maybe you are just “getting too old for this $hit”. Beating @keithaitch surely isn’t worth risking your life for, is it?
