@Jim Brown I see you re-rode the same ride as me. Beat me by 1 minute, and with 14 watts less. And this only over 22 minutes. Stretch that to a 1 hour standard race and you would have been 3 minutes up for less watts. I think this is enough evidence for me that Bkool still favours the Pro over other trainers. If I can bothered to switch trainers and put my old Pro on I might have a go with that and see how much of a difference that makes.

How did you find the ride compared to your last one?
To be fair, so does Zwift to a certain extent doesn't it? What sort of difference did you find in Zwift when switching to the Kickr from the Bkool Pro? (he says whilst nervously awaiting the kickr Core to come into stock at Evans.....!)

True. I was a B on the Pro for watts, but a mid C on the Kickr. Some days the Pro was a bit crazy, but mostly it was consistent (although reported too high watts). Speed wise though, I'd say I've beaten all my Pro times using the Kickr (the times when the Pro was over the top I've deleted those rides).

I am afraid you may have the same experience next time. After updating, my stuff connected after 1 minute or so. Next time it took more like 5 minutes, and I had to skip 5 minutes of warm-up for a race. :banghead:
OK ,this may be premature, but I just got the dreaded notice that there was a bkool software update to install. No option but to accept and hope it works. Well it seems to have and has resolved the ant connection problem. I connected immediately. I've exited the app completely, fine back in and again it immediately finds the pro trainer. I can't ride this evening but will be riding tomorrow and will give an update on the graphics. Fingers crossed The version I have installed is 4.12 (11798).

No, you can still use Windows 7, but it has to be 64-bit. Download Windows 10 x64 with the “Media Creation Tool” and buy a product key for it on eBay. They come as cheap as £3-4.

Then install the new Bkool 4.1(1) and cross your fingers that it pick up your trainer/ANT-stick. With the new version it sometimes takes like forever to connect to your ANT-devices.

Win 7 is 32 bit I beleive and a bit dodgy as well.

Don’t try that reverse psychology sh1t on me... me and my virtual friend are just fine.. I can cycle with @Whorty ’s ghost when ever I like..

As we've always said, everyone needs to ride and exercise where it suits their needs.

I wouldn't trust that ghost

I’ve upgraded now as well. All went well and as you say, it connected automatically to the Pro.. I disconnected a couple of times and it reconnected without issue :thumbsup:.

Call me shallow.. but I love the ‘camera angle’ thingy.. it is an aptional view that will add a little fun to chasing @Whorty ’s ghost..:thumbsup::thumbsup:.

I look forward to giving it a go amorra ..

It's threatening rain down my way so I'm gonna try the Cube on the Kickr. I will only be trying climbs as a flat or flatish courses will not suit it, anything over 25kph and you're on your own :bicycle:.

Gunna do Welsh Stage 1. Probably a baaaad decision as I’ve just purchased a Brooks, with tomorrow being ‘break in the Brooks’ day 1.

I did the upgrade yesterday after I had done an easy 10 mile ride on one of my league rides. But because it upgraded I lost that ride. No big deal and the new Sim seems good.

On an unrelated note we stopped at your cousins new business. It is a cool shop/ coffee tea / art gallery. The weed store is next door but I don't think is run by them. Just in the same building. Also another impressive real world ride on Strave a few days ago.
