Would that work with a multi lap race though?

I don't see why not, it would need to be a very short lap for the 'official' starters to catch. Alot of the races in Zwift are sometimes just one loop of the bigger courses

What it needs is a practice by a few Cyclechat members, maybe just a hard ride as opposed to a full on race to check it works .Then its ready

Can't see why this wouldn't work. Even on short laps, if the main race riders do catch and lap the cyclechatters then that's fine - it'll be unlikely that a slow chatter will be able to hang on to the coat tails of the faster riders lapping them.

There are down side to this solution though : we will be minutes behind the main race, and hence lose ranking points. We'll also all have to start in the same category which will have to be A to stop us from being accused of being sandbagging. Our w/kg will be much lower than normal (as we'll be stationery for 2 mins), and this could result in us getting downgraded a Cat in future races.

We should be able to set up our own races though on Zwift - not 100% sure how, but I did look into it ages ago and it did seem feasible. Wouldn't be closed entry though but then Bkool never was so shouldn't be a problem? Let me look into it again.

Password protecting the Bkool race was an easy way to make it a closed race. You did it on the handicap races, didn’t you?

Wanting a new saddle as the one I'm using is giving me saddle sores. I hear Brooks are decent and comfy once they are worn in. Thinking of this one ... Brooks
Anyone got any experience?

True and we should Duke it out within the main race. Handicap could be done in the Hare/Hound events

Have you measured your sit bones. It's easy to do. sit on second step of staircase
with corrugated card, with your undies on:laugh:. So your knees are high up. This should dent the card where your pelvis sit bones are.

Measure centre to centre and add 10-20mm for saddle width.

My original saddle was same width as my sit bones. My new saddle is 135mm wide and feels more supportive.

The centre portion of saddle can be cut out or nose-less(Ism Adamo), all personal preference

Selle Royale Scientia A - Come in three widths ... once you have measured your sit bones you can choose the width to suit.

Bkool has the Aleman, Geoff and Paul f videos. Worth the price alone.
Awwwww, Shucks! :blush::blush::blush::blush:

Actually I have got my finger out, and done two more videos, based on my trip to Mallorca. This one is part two of our loop from Puerto Pollensa to Puerto Sa Calobra and back, and goes from teh viaduct up the col del reis, down to sa calobra and back up to the top of the coll de sa batella.

I've uploaded Part 3 today, which goes from the top of Sa Battella down to Caimari/campanet and then to Pollensa. Part one is already up there which goes from Pollensa up Femenia to the start of the Col Del Reis

I've ridden parts one and three in BRVR, three is pretty good, but you get some jumpy video as it tries to keep up with you on the steep downhill gradients. I think the track is about 30m out from the actual gradient changes on part one ... but that could be my pro playing about.

I'll upload the BRVR video and tracks to my website tomorrow for anyone who wants to download them. ... as its around 18Gb of video files I'll be better off using works 10Gb internet pipe

I've been using a B17 for the past 5 years or so. For the first few hundred miles it was torture . But once broken in it has been fabulous.

It's now on the commuter bike as I needed a racier looking saddle on the summer bike, which has taken me four saddles before I've found one I'm happy with. But in comparison, when I sit on the Brooke's it feels like heaven, having been perfectly moulded to my arse :smooch:

I would look at how you sit on the bike before embarking on what could be a lengthy and costly search for the right saddle. Especially if you are losing weight and the “cushion” you once had! Before my first bike fit I used to have too much of my weight on the saddle leading to soreness and worse. Post bike fit, I was more stretched out, more of my weight on the handlebars, saddle tilted and moved to accommodate and the difference was, frankly, amazing. Saddle was a Planet X Arione copy.
There are lots of online bike fit guides. After that the right bike shorts can made a significant difference to comfort too.

Here are the promised videos, or an approximate 100Km loop going from just outside Puerto Pollenca (I forgot to start the recording  ) Up the Col de Femenia to the viaduct at the turn off to Puerto Sa Calobra. The descent to the port, with the short climb of the Coll del Reis, and the subsequent ascent back up to finish at the top of the Coll de Sa Batella. Then descend Sa Batella into Caimari, and campenet before returning to the Pollensa Park Hotel in Puerto Pollenca.

I've split the route into three sections of just over 30Km to try and get better video quality in Bkool, obviously that's not an issue with the files in BRVR.

Part One - Up Coll De Femenia (5.76Gb) - I think there is a few seconds difference between gradient being shown to change and it actually changing for some reason
Part Two - Sa Calobra Down And Up (7.63Gb) - Watch out for that coach and the moron shooting past you at the bottom of the descent!!
Part Three - Down Coll de Sa Batella (4.91Gb) - Got a Buffer empty message on this due to the slow real descent and the very fast trainer descent, also had several jumps in the video as it tried to keep up.

These are not true zip files, once downloaded, just remove the .zip extension, and the files should work as 'real' videos'. ... Just a warning I had issues opening the video files for some reason with some versions of BRVR ... there is a new update coming out in a few weeks once some inadvertant 'Features' have been ironed out

Gpx Tracks for all three - This is a real zip file, so unpack the three files into the same directory as the video files.

I'm going to work on the 'reverse' route next Up Sa Batella and down Femenia, which is a nicer way to do it, but that won't include Sa Calobra
Then the ride from Puerto Valdemossa, Up the Col De Soller, and down the Orient Valley
Finally finish it off with the ride off the cliff epic :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
