The Danish Bkool league starts October 2nd, with scheduled races Tuesday night, Thursday night and Sunday morning. I’m sure you can get a wildcard to join the races. You won’t show up in the official league rankings though (Danes only), but no one can take away the fun of the racing.

I’m off to Tignes (France) on Wednesday, so I won’t make round 5 either. If I survive the potential downhill rides and wandering in the Alpes, I’ll be back on Zwift and Bkool early next week. :okay:

Havd a nice trip to Spain!

Tignes? If you hire a road bike you could ride up the col D’Iseran-a monster of a climb but a beautiful one.

My friends don`t do race bikes, only MTBs. One of them wants to try the downhill track, the rest of us not so much. :stop:The current weatherforecast is not too great with rain. Going uphill on a MTB in the rain would be doable. Riding down the mountain on a wet dirt track, no thank you!

I am slowly moving to the leave camp. I may not renew in December. The limitations of the system (trainer compatibility), plus the very, very, basic training plans are slowly forcing me to see what is about. BRVR is a certainty due to the quality of video. Trainer Road or Zwift are strong possibilties for a second sub. due to the better training plans. I notfully sure just yet.
When My £0.99 subs runs out I'll be moving across I guess ... Still loading routes and videos up for the time being though.

OK, so what are the options re power meter controlled trainers. Tacx flux is just over £500. If everyone goes to Zwift I'll head over as well but will want a fair fight...

Tacx Flux, Elite Direto and the new Wahoo KICKR Core is around that price give or take a £100 or more. Beware that the Flux can not use long cage derailleur. No problem on the other two.

How much would not having the motor for downhills be a disadvantage?

The Kickr core is due this month a basic scissor stand but a silent kickr 2017 essentially. I think about £700 + cassette

Check DCRainmaker for a review and comparison to a 2018 kickr and neo

Wouldn't know, but going downhill on my Direto is considerably harder than on the Bkool Pro. These days I would probably buy the Core instead of the Direto, just because it is less bulky. Me changing between the Bkool Pro and the Direto every so often, makes me want a lighter model. I could however settle for a new bike room/garage with both of them sat up and then 2 computers, 2 55" OLEDs and a big boombox.

@BILL S The races in Zwift regularly have 30+riders, the norm being nearer a hundred, which will be common as winter nights arrive. Ideally get a power meter or just use the bkool pro(unplug it once you've logged in to Zwift- it resets the device and usually work ok-see @bridgy

My Preference, Kickr Core, excellent unit and half the cost of the Kickr, Same electronics except no cadence built in and adjust able wheel height

Also, reconditioned kickr’s and snaps at the Wahoo store. Kipster like his wheel in Snap.
Or a PM, even a one sided 4ii and bkool Pro would be great. In Zwift you can use the PM for power and pro for resistance changes. £250 upwards.

I have a NEO and have to pedal like crazy at 300w to keep up with the heavier guys. But can tuck in behind I can relax and stop pedalling and coast behind but keep an eye they don’t pull away.
