Chain Gangers please remember that I won't be starting any more C.G. sessions until week beginning 22/04/18 as I'll be on holiday.

Izmir, Turkey. Not really what I would consider fun but keeps the family happy. No cycling, which is probably not a bad thing considering what the Turkish drivers are like. Mind you, I've survived (only just) a month cycling in Peru where the dogs are mostly crazy and hate cyclists and anything with visible rotating parts. I've never managed to get to the bottom of why that is, but if I go again I'll be taking pepper spray and an air horn.

@perswe thanks for the email :okay:
I struggled like hell on that how was it

Yes I thought I’d give it a go to try to hold on to you. It looked as if you managed to do CG1 as a ITT! If so I’m impressed with your speed, managing to keep that pace up :notworthy:. Holding on is obviously far easier. I tried to stay with @peterob and the rest but that speed explosion from km zero is unbearable. Had to bail after only 1km. But then you’re ghost came along...^_^

Tried your 51k bowland loop today @Aleman . Hilly it is. Hard it was. But a brilliant ride never the less. So thanks for uploading that!:okay:
Thanks, It is a great ride. The BKool uploader screws with the gradients unfortunately, as that main climb over the trough actually hits 21%, and averages 18% for the last kilometer or so. In the summer it's a great ride to do in the evening, we drive out to the Bay Horse, leave the cars there and then do some routes that are just climbing based. I love living where I do, but a 22Km ride over the flat lands to get to any hills can be a demotivator at times

And I used to think that the Downs and the Alps were one and the same thing.
Chances are they happened at the same time.
