Within the sprint, mountain and landmark classifications, points are assigned based on each participant’s split times.
Thus, this classification is based on points, with 3 points being awarded for the lowest elapsed time between the start of the session and the end of the split, 2 for the second best and 1 for the third best.
Points are also given based on the lowest split time, with 5 points for the best, 4 for the second best, then 3, 2 and 1. These points are added, so the best user could have as many as 8 points.
There seems to be two completely separate ways of getting points.
There are also two types of sprint and mountain splits, "point" or "interval", where point is a single end point to reach, but interval adds a start point and the speed between start and end is significant, and also earns points.
For both types there are 3, 2 and 1 points for the fastest three from the start of the
session to the end of the split (i.e. the sprint or mountain "point" or the end of the "interval").
In addition, for "intervals" there are an additional 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points for the fastest five from the start of the
interval to the end of the
interval (i.e. from the start to the end of the sprint or mountain "interval")
On this session we had One Sprint "Interval" and two Mountain "Intervals" so max 8 sprint points and 16 mountain points (I like to use Intervals so it's not just the first three there sweeping up all the points).
Having said all that, it does seem that Kipster was robbed of points in all the intervals, as he looks to be the fastest on the sprint and combined 5th fastest on the two mountain splits, so should have some "interval" points in both, even if he was fourth to reach the end point every time.
