I just take the insoles out after and the cats lick them clean, my feet too!
The even nibble off the calluses.

I beg to differ... ever tried one of those silly ice cold ales at a trendy bar..... what's the world coming to? Give me clammy shoes any time!
I think it would be a shame if you did not complete the SC to the best of your ability, I know I like to try and better your times along with other cyclechat members, however I respect that ultimately it's your decisionI had a go last night but I only had an hour spare as tea was cooking. After an hour I was 43 seconds up on my original ghost with about 8 km to go. On original ride I faded badly towards the end so had I finished last night I'd have been a minute or so faster.
To be honest though, I've lost heart in the SC league now. I'll finish the rides but not going to try too hard. It's supposed to be fun but the hate the last few days have knocked the fun out of it. We've always competed on the CG leagues and it's nice to do well but I've been just as happy coming last but none of use really take it seriously. SC is clearly taken far too seriously for my liking.

Now't wrong with your logic there old boy...Ale, Sir, should be served at room temperature...
Socks should always be worn int cycling shoes..
Although the cats are probably glad you keep your shorts on at that point....I just take the insoles out after and the cats lick them clean, my feet too!
