And built in power meter for the fraction of the cost of a TACX Neo (NOT!)

And that built in rocking motion should improves every ones chances of ending up in a heap on the floor on dismount.

I assume the cost is broken down as follows:
1. Got to make it more expensive than the Pro £500 base
2. R&D £50/unit recovery
3. Nice blue colour £550

Sorry I got that wrong:
1. Got to make it more expensive than the Pro £500 base
2. R&D £4/unit recovery
3. Nice blue colour £595

@AAAC 76C - i know it's a bit late, but should have offered you a lift if you want to come to the IOW for a team ride out. You could train it from Yeovil to Gillingham and I can pick you up at the station (or you could drive over to me and leave your car at my gaff for the day). Let me now if you want to join us :okay:

Wow, finally got below 70kg (69.5 kg), didn't think I ever would!

Still dropping a pound or so every three weeks, so slow progress, but if I can loose another 2kg I may have to start eating more!

Still need to work on leg strength, perhaps try the steeper climbs much more regularly! Up the Merry Hariers several times a week should help...

Thanks for the offer but I'm keeping my cycling indoors for now.
I'd have to buy a front wheel and tire as well.
Plus:
Fit some brakes again and redo my cockpit with some drops and brifters again .
I was going to just remove my bars complete with the cable inners and outers so they could quickly be remounted but I had a Bill moment and didn't lash out on new inners and outers and chopped up the old ones instead.
And then there's the shame of running an old £50 aluminium frame and no Garmin so I'd have to shoot of to a bike shop and buy a titanium or carbon frame, better still one of those gorgeous Wilier Triestina.

As you can see I have a very addictive personality so I need to keep things at arm's length otherwise I will just rope myself in and work myself into a divorce situation.

As light hearted as that sounds it would be a slippery slope for me so for now I will stay in my comfort zone protected from the big bad world of social real riding.

That said I'll be cycling to work on my ratty old fixie on Friday as HID will have the car.

Better still, in true, Yobsville fashion, just let me know when your house is going to be empty and I'll pop over anyway.

I reckon you could limit yourself to a couple of social events a year and still avoid divorce mate! But then I've ballsed up more than one relationship due to my own obsessive personality so I'm probably not the best person to offer advice...

It would be great to have you along one day though!

PS. Have you guys watched today's Vuelta highlight's.
Watch out for the bit where Froome gets on the blower to Control and say's;
"I want Moscon to pull off in 30 seconds and look knackered otherwise he's off the team!".

I've not been able to watch any of it yet. Just been following it through the paper. Seems like Froomes got himself in a decent position though.
