What's all this trainer malarky:biggrin:. I've been out today for the Senior club run to a lovely cafe at Wymondham nr Melton Mowbray. Rolling hills there and back. For me just short of 70miles. I coped quite well with everyone commenting how can you use 40t chainring and keep up. My Tripster performed perfectly and was able to keep up even when the road tilted down-gravity assist and high cadence  I definitely need a few days off after Friday's long ride aswell.

I've uploaded a minute or so of our ride(only of interest to sad cyclist s )

Lots of fresh legs and tight formation. It didn't look like that homeward bound. I was dropped with 2 others on the last climb. HR hit 180bpm, I stretched a lead-more like they were just a little more tired than me, kept it till we parted routes for our homes.
Had my nap, off for an Indian and beer :cheers:

Looks like nice roads there Andy. Are they always so empty of traffic?

Pretty much Bob. That's one of the reasons moving to the Lincolnshire countryside. Quieter roads and little pollution. We are moving to Rutland in a few years, really nice rolling countryside but slightly more busy with traffic. We will be within 5-9 miles of major towns, easy biking distance. I'm coming round to using the cars less and less for short journeys.

Having lived in Leeds for 10 years, I thoroughly recommend the countryside. House prices are cheap in comparison to London. We currently live in a 5 bed detached house with a large garden bought for £330k

Bkoolers! This weekend we're in FIBO - the leading international trade show for fitness, wellness & health. This year we've partnered up with Keiser and will be presenting the latest version of the Bkool Simulator with indoor cycling classes hooked up with the Keiser spinning bikes!

We did something similar 18 months ago. After a lifetime of cities (Brum, Sheffield and London) we left the smog behind and moved to the countryside. Sold our SE London flat and for the same money bought a 6 bed house with lake and 2 acres of land  Property prices in London are just bonkers :banghead:

I still contract in London so travel there every day (3 hour round trip) but hoping to cut this down to just 6-8 months a year so I can enjoy our new lifestyle more :wahhey:

Good for you Carl. Life is too short not to grab a bit of peace and quiet with rural life

6 beds, a lake and 2 acres!

Fancy a lodger from Yobsvile?
I'll mow the lawn while your on the train and still go to work.

I used to live in a 16 man room in a spider block (8 x 16 man rooms with a central ablutions hall) until I escaped the Air Station by signing up to marriage and moved into a 3 bed terrace a yard off of the street with a 20 ft back garden in Yobsvile.
Luxury!
That was in 86 mind and I have now progressed, post marriage No 1, to a 4 bed semi with two baths and 3 receptions and a 70 foot back garden.
To remind me of London they have converted the main road outside my house (Sherborne Road, Sherborne being where the posh folk live) to a mini version of the M25, loads of cars but none of them moving (such in progress).
