Good cadence there Boxers:okay: in the power stage interval s
It's a shame the power is about 50 watts down on what I had been doing. Self inflicted but still frustrating. Still changing the way I ride to a much higher cadence is hard work :B):sweat::sweat:

Edit to add

Bkool is giving me about 155watts in the z4 sections of the workout. The Vectors on connect are showing about 175watts. Not quite as bad as I thought ^_^

Edit to add again

Borrox, just realised I didn't calibrate the vectors before properly starting the session :cursing::banghead:

Yes it does tend to drive you a little . There are lots out there, you just need to work out

1: how much can you spend?
2: how much do you want to spend?
3: what info do you want?:addict:

Each system has a downside. But all are just about using power to gauge your fitness and temper your efforts.

I eventually went with pedals as they are the easiest to move between bikes (I haven't actually moved them yet), the down side is they tend to be the most expensive :surrender:

Price is definitely a factor. I can get a crank based unit specifically for my tarmac as I won't swap between bikes. But if I replace the frame the unit may be useless to me and be difficult to move on.

I'd get a hub based one but I have more than one wheelset.

I like the look of the power tap pedals but as you say there's a price hike. The vectors sound a bit high maintenance TB. I'd be interested to hear Lars' opinion on his pedals now he's had them a while.

Do you tend to spin a low gear or grind out a higher one on those kind of hills?
Not any more. I changed my cassette and am spinning fast on the steep gradients. Its something else effecting the power. On my old trainer I made more power going uphill.

I asked because I've kind of been experimenting a bit and I think bkool rewards grinding a bigger gear uphill more than spinning a low one. I don't know though - might just be an individual thing?

I've had no issues with my vectors, but I haven't been outside much with them. The main concern is the torque on initial setup. Get it right and they just work, wrong (to high or low) and they are a pain.

Watteam are looking promising and at a relatively low cost. Hopefully this time there will be no issues and they are apparently removable. You just have to follow the instructions to the letter.

The p1's came out just after I got my vectors. I would probably have bought them if the timings had been different. But they have had issues with comms and battery caps failing. Most are sorted now but some problems still get through.

The bepro's again just work from what little I've read, but Lars is your man here.

Enjoy the maze that is power meters :okay:

Two items.
1. I've directed a friend Derek Cawston to join Cyclechat and the Cyclechat BKool groups. I expect he will log in sometime tomorrow, maybe I've left it a little too late to get him in the handicap later today.

2. Is there a handicap chase session tonight.

Just looked in BKool, the Stage 2 session says
Week 2 (Banff) in Pico Peñas de Dios (La Yesa - Villar del Arzobispo)
14/03/2017 23:59. Is this correct?
