I'll be starting stage 2 of the cg at 5pm with warm up kick off at 5.10 added all available ghosts.
Thanks for that Breedon. I'm not really up to doing that one again at the moment.I'll be starting stage 2 of the cg at 5pm with warm up kick off at 5.10 added all available ghosts.
Thanks for all he support fellow Cycle-chatters. I got the feeling there might have been a few who were worried about me getting stage 2 finished before stage 3 started but actually I had it all under control (honest!). I knew I could go a bit quicker but I also knew I had no chance of not coming last when I saw how everyone else was on the hill. Best thing for me to do was to go for the 1 point and try and save myself for the velodrome. Happy to have scored 8 points though as I'd guessed I might get 6 when I considered who we were up against. Team GB was surprisingly strong and I think the performances of AAAC, Bridgy, Daddy Pig and Tommy were outstanding. I think you guys all perhaps hold something back when we do our usual races.
Thank you Jim. This is the first time in my life that anyone has ever called me that.@BILL S you were magnificent - If it was me, I wouldn't have finished and I apologise for doubting you on stage 2..
I had a bkool "gift" on that stage at one point. For a couple of minutes I was managing 6-700 watts and caught up with a couple of Spaniards I had given up on. Unfortunately the magic spell was broken the moment I hit their draft and I was back down to earth with a bump! I never caught them back up so it was all for nothing in the end!Just watched Geoff's recording of Stouby Sejet and was well impressed with Team GB antics further up the field. Great teamwork which I wish I could have joined if I'd been quick enough. The wattage you lot put out is outrageous.
If we do it again I'm going to have a whip round and get you a headset whether you like it or not
I'm no expert Bill but maybe. In the end I ran the app on my phone and connected via Bluetooth which worked fineThanks Paul, that's most kind , however, I'm not quite in poverty yet and would have ordered up a headset but all this talk of Bluetooth and programs and changing settings and things frightened me off a bit and I also worried that I'd lose concentration on my race tactics if I had something else to distract me. If we do this again (assuming TB refuses to be the up and coming youngster we train up to take my place) then I will ensure that I get a headset and will tackle whatever IT complications I need to, to hopefully get it working. Would it actually be simpler to just get a wired one?
So it can all be done using the phone, an App, and wifi? No need to fiddle with the laptop at all?I'm no expert Bill but maybe. In the end I ran the app on my phone and connected via Bluetooth which worked fine
Correct - laptop wasn't involved. Easy to use free App on phone, and headset or earphones connected to phone via either Bluetooth or wire would work. I was glad to leave the laptop to concentrate on running bkool! Kept the phone in my jersey back pocket to keep it away from the laptop and had no issuesSo it can all be done using the phone, an App, and wifi? No need to fiddle with the laptop at all?
