Indeed 7pm new Chaingang league. Course should be flat and fast but don't blame me if it's not.
Woops! Doesn't look nearly as flat as I thought it would be.
Edit: he may have well have used slope reduction in the settings.
I think this slope reduction thing shows up everywhere... I did a BigRingVR hc climb the other day and uploaded to Strava... then looked at a few of the rides of the leaderboard top rides.. several Bkool rides at far lower average watts than my ride but with a time of about a third of mine... and I'm not a heavyweight... around 69kg. I guess Strava has no way of identifying where slope reduction has been used. I've no pretensions of getting a KOM but it would be nice to have a somewhat level (excuse the pun) playing field.![]()
Slope reduction won't help me over the Perth & Kinross hills this spring..![]()
As they say... "aint that the truth. I never use it and my "biggy" for this year is to ride the Tourmalet on my 70th (if I make it that long).
The WC stage is underway and this Spanish chap is at the front. Flying along on the flattish sections at decent pace and watts but when he hits the hills... his watts drop right off, his cadence is high and his speed goes through the roof.. can anyone explain this please? He blasted past everyone including Jacob... et al...
The screen grab doesn't show the best, at one point he was doing 33 watts at 22mph..![]()
sat on my turbo doing 20 mph in the velodrome and guess wot, 100 watts!
slope reduction.
it should not count in the wc though because he has adjusted the course
ps dont we all fly past jacob anyway?
Yeah! We fly past him like we were going backwards.ps dont we all fly past jacob anyway?
Just came back from some club spinning, so I'm out tonight.
Woops! Doesn't look nearly as flat as I thought it would be.
