i think i may be in the wrong group  i will give it a go but my performance is a bit unpredictable to say the least
i am still on the tools and if i have a proper day at work it does seem to show

Same here Berty. Some days are definitely tougher than others. I think Adams the same. I think the hardest thing is getting four people to the start line.

Plus now we have Bobinski's big book of excuses we can't lose!!:hugs:

I did my warm up on a live course but didn't realise till half way through the 7k that it was a time trial course:rolleyes: so I rode a bit faster and then realised I would have to finish even faster to get into the handicap race. And overcooked it and mistimed the start so I was over a minute behind TT. I went after him hitting 680 w and bringing the time down but ended up unable to breathe ^_^ so slowed down and then burst out laughing at what had happened as DP rolled past. Went after him and nearly got him on the hill but as he pulled away on the slope I decided I didn't want to ride on my own and bailed.
I did go on to test via the tacx app power readings with the NEO in bkool and they are bang on. What I see on the phone app is what I see in bkool.

That's good to see.

I'm trainer less for a few days, my freehub is making grinding noise, the internal shim has scoring on the surface and is catching the freehub body. Looks like there is a shortage of Shimano freehubs:cursing: If i cant get one for a week or two I'll just regrease and ride with a noise:sad:

Plenty of the Campag Freehubs

Geoff - it would be great if we could get the TTT going again as it was a good laugh last time around.

I'm not sure how my recent performances warrant a promotion to the Greens, as I'm used to seeing most of my proposed team mates fly past me, especially on the lumpy bits.

Maybe it would be best to have a roll call on race day to see who can make it and decide on teams (number of, and size), if that was possible to sort out the start time staggers.

But thanks again Geoff for all the hard work you but in to keep the Tuesday handicap running.

We would also need to think of the best way to get all the team members on the start line at the appropriate time since Bkool's 'enhancements' over the last 12 months.

I also rode in Zwift but it didnt save and again, watts compared with tacx app are identical. The difference between zwift and bsim is the resistance and so also the speed. I can ride most of Watopia including the mountain in the big ring only dropping down to the 34 for anything over 7%. I tend to stay in the big ring for box hill too. However, the resistance is much greater per equivalent gradient in bsim possibly equaling that in zwift at 9% and above. In order to stay spinny In bsim have to drop to the 34 at 5-6%. I doubt anyone on pro units feels the need to do this and i didn't when i had mine.
None of this really matters except perhaps in the team handicap.

It really is dependent on who is on the start line, I've had to put more in each team than is needed, so if one team is well represented it would free up some people to move into one of the other teams. If everyone turned up it would be possible to make a fifth team, but in reality we may only just get the four or five per team that would be ideal. Finish time is based on the third person home, and the gaps between the fastest and slowest in a team, depending very much on terrain, can be fairly large, so plenty of room for tactics. In the Pro's TTT they often leave a few on the course to speed the third person home.

As for starting together, we only go on moving time, and "on the road" is the main thing with the TTT. Hence I thought each team should join in plenty of time before their start, and assemble on the start line not pedalling, waiting for the elaspsed time to reach their start time. Once the team before has gone, you would be free to join, so plenty of time for everyone to get together.
