Thanks for the mention Paul. Not entirely sure what this is though. Saw it mentioned a while back but didn't really take it on board what was happening. I may be doing a duathlon on the 26th so not sure if I'll be available. Have to check my dates with a mate. I'm certainly not in the top 5 on Cycle chat though!!

Looks like we might get a game Whorty... :giggle:

Yeah no way I could keep up with your ghost. I knew I could make the hill at a steady pace but your ghost just powered up like a machine. Impressive.
I felt really good last night. I hadn't ridden since Monday so was well rested. Once my ghost went past tonight I knew I couldn't stick with it. Probably didn't help that I went off too hard again tonight ... I never learn! Last night I pootled off and had a lot more for the climb.

Your ghost was about 6 minutes ahead of me

Looks like I'm going on a diet then....:angry:

DP, I have been trying to get some weight off hence increase in mileage and my 3 rides today. I find that when I race I comfort eat^_^ so just been clocking up miles in Zwift so I don't also destroy my IF rating in bkool. TT's rides over Xmas and mine since mean I am now 2kilos lighter with very little change in diet. Just done enough to ensure a 500 calories deficit most days. Now a solid 74 kilos but looking to hit between 70 and 72 without any loss of power and ideally an improvement. If I can do it and I have very little will power I am sure anyone can do it.:okay:

Tada!!!!!!

I'm back (just in case anyone had noticed I had been away).

Managed to get viral pneumonia just after Christmas which wasn't very nice but that morphed into pleurisy which was very not nice. Only good thing about this cocktail of lung unpleasantness was that it was quite conducive to weight loss (but probably as much from the good bits of me as the flabby bad bits).

Haven't dared go near a bike as lungs still quite weak but have been walking and even trotting a bit. Plan to be back on the bike soon though.

Have I missed anything? (Assuming there hasn't been a cycle chat equivalent of Trump entering the White House?)

Who are you ?!?

Feck, pneumonia is really nasty. You have my sympathy. Really take care getting back into normal life. It knocks you for 6 and leaves you vulnerable for some time.

Well in the last full league you took part in (Sept Oct) you were in the top 7 in every stage and finished 3Rd overall. And if you factor in that LBHIFI isn't British, and I included 7 names you are right up there. I like that everyone considers themselves unworthy though - it is very British of us
