Got woke up late last night by someone send me a photo asking if this was the northern lights on his photo..
luckily it was...
nothing here when I looked out but if I'd have waited a bit long more likely I'd have hopefully had seen something as conditions had leapt up.
The one heading our way now, isn't apparently....

Light pollution has got worse down here since they replaced the old sodium lamps with LED lights. Simply because there's more of them required.

I have one of the fancy dan lampposts just outside the 'shack' window...
it hasn't caused any bother.........yet

Not that unlucky. Two were considered more than enough for over forty years. Then it was considered unsafe for modern living, so they moved them out towards the end of the road. The new type weren't as bright so they'd to put a third halfway between the two new ones.
I blame these baseball games missen, can't you get them to play at a more reasonable time?
So no cake either then?
