Even on a cold day...
Teasmaid bedside for that early morning cuppa, without having to leave yer warm bed.
Will that be a cold or a hot one?
You'll have to report back with a full review of that fruit one.
I remember being served pear cider in a pub wondering why couldn't he have just served up a standard apple cider. Barman was the owner, and a relative, meaning the drink cost nowt. Not carried away with it.
Went the colour of rain earlier, but the clear blue sky didn't agree with it.
There's thunder in the air, somewhere...

Might try the fruit one tonight.
I've tried the apple cider from the farm, and it's good.
I cringe at fruit-flavoured ciders and beers.
I reckon you could push some dodgy brews by just flavouring, but folk must like them.
I'd had a hazy beer recently, and jeez, nah, not for me.
I prefer bulk-produced ciders and beers; you know what you get.
I believe there is duplicity in the industry. I remember buying an 'island' branded gin; it was made darn sarf with botanicals from the island. A bit of a con, deeply hidden in the website, was mentioned of it being made out with. They do have a still now...

I prefer coffee to 'kick' me into action:cuppa:

Dull just now..
hasn't been dry..
Plants never minded:cuppa:
Owdo
Colour keeps saying rain, sky keeps saying no chance down here.
Overcast at present, but set to warm up, so they say.
Nothing here, unless you count the muggy feeling when you're outside.
You fed them?

Yer a braver man than me...
Cider from apples as it should be.
One day they'll find one that really sells for more than a month or two.
Being a Guinness drinker, if it don't look right it just gets handed back.
Some of these smaller breweries where they keep production much the same seem to last longer.
Wasn't there a court case a few years ago over American whiskey "made in scotland". Scotland being the name of the plant where it were made, not the country.

Not "Da Boss"?

Countdown starts to fruit cider tasting time...

a wet day, almost 10mm of precipitation so garden watering off until Monday, tomorrow means feed time..
Domestic duties and jeez, still a bit to do so best get going and prepare for the unbottling..
Can of ordinary waiting to wash the taste away..

Update..
Heavily flavoured with Scottish red berries, lime not showing to me (and i use plenty of fresh lime juice), refreshing, a bit over wrought with the berry taste but 7.5 out of 10...

Counting down in hours or minutes?

A wet day here as well, but with about a 1/10th of what you've had.
Three days without water, won't that hinder your yield/harvest?
You or your plants?

Were you late starting or summat, does it put your testing session on hold for tonight...
How's the can of ordinary taste now.
Maybe you've used too much lime over the years for you to taste what they put in it.
Score realistic enough to make you say "You know what, I'll buy some the next time I see them!"

Bottles it were..
Busy day all round it was.

Nah, plenty water for them to survive that amount of time on, my cherries have been enjoyed by the local birds, much better crop than last years too, oh well, cherry tarts no longer an option then?
I'm an economy drinker...
some so-called specialist stuff really isn't the cost TBH
Saw that in the gin market,
exorbitant prices for bog standard output,
I returned to my fave blends....

blended ones are made to be consistent, apples are apples..
Beers? I got to 'smell' three varieties of hops recently and I was surprised at the difference in them, one smells considerably like its cousin.
At the end of the day, it is all down to personal taste. Hic !

Ten green bottles by any chance?
Setting up with notepad and pen, thermometer and a clean glass for the contents of each bottle!

No netting that'd stop them getting to yer crops?
You can still buy yer cherry tarts, just get rid of all packaging before serving to others.
Is that to hepy the economy or because of the economy and unit pricing system you have.
Smaller batches brewed means less lost if the latest one doesn't sell well. More throwaway society thinking.
Why can't they make it without anything fancy being thrown in, just to appeal to a minority. Be judged on how they make the same product.
On the apple front, there's some science to back up the use of different apples. Some will never make a decent mash to work with. And from there it can only get worse.

And did you enjoy yer personal tasting?

I have another three types (beers) chilling that I haven't tried before...
Small batch is a con to let you know it's not mass produced etc etc, more likely the only size of still they could afford..
depends what size small batch is, I'd imagine a standard written in brewing laws.

I wonder how much hooch is made in the UK?
Simple stuff to make tbh....
botanicals are easy enough to source..

I purposely got a cooking cherry type as well..
I haven't seen a bird near them, still one or two left, I did have the first strawberry this morning, a quick wash and munch.
It might be my lot

Anyhow, this room got the message and is a lot tidier and cleaner than it was, computers removed and dust sooked out..
Hopefully not needing done again for a couple of months...

Spread them out over the weekend, don't go rushing these things. It'll give yer tastebuds time to recover to full capacity.
Think it's a con missen. Less made making it exclusive, until the next production run.

"In October 2010, HMRC officers seized 25,000 litres of counterfeit vodka, along with bottling and labelling equipment at Cheetham Hill, Manchester."
Care of the BBC.
How much are they not finding.

Now yer cherry pie empire has collapsed before it even started.
Get a scarecrow up near them, keep the remainder safe. More for you to munch on.

I should really do the same to my own computer. It's been a while since it were last done.

The sods attacked my Vicky Plum tree earlier I was informed..
at least the fruit is being enjoyed, sods..

Just a basic cider tonight and a can of fizzy stuff after being out at the normal haunt...

I'd imagine a lot of that type of stuff would be stuff for export not going for export at that quantity.
Vodka is just a base spirit (I think) so no long maturation like whisky etc..

I did think of buying a couple of those mini-computer but I did spend money last year(?) upgraded all the internal parts of each computer, I have bought a distribution board thingy, connect my power supply 13.8v to this board and I can then run equipment off this board, just plug in these connectors, save me faffing about with plugs, need a crimper for connectors thought, now four emails in so five emails to go, promised 5 day delivery for over the ocean(s) eastwards.

I'm planning a revamp of what I have in here but that'll be a few rainy day job, I've too much stuff TBH.

Been a long day, eyeball Alice time

You want to buy/build a vortex cannon. It'll keep them away, and waken the neighbours up.
Enjoyed, but not by those who put the time and effort into growing them.

Fizzy stuff?
Does the haunting malarkey pay well these days?

I don't know, a fair few micro breweries opened round these parts around ten years ago. The last few years saw a number close up shop, when they couldn't operate.

I've used a few micro-computer things. Found them lacking when they're needed, too often. Think your current setup might do the job better.
E-mails, you've been and bought more stuff requiring delivering.
Did you not learn from the last lot?

There could be a few of those up your nec'o'woods in the coming weeks.

Don't let Alice catch you...
