By the looks of things you lot had a good night. I'd better not make too much noise here this morning...
Self inflicted, you carry on as normal.

You got me interested so I looked at our town on Wikipedia, we're 348 metres (1,142 ft) up.

It's a more gentle descent though, about 600km to the sea from here.
Now we know where to head for, should it start getting too deep.

You live on the top floor as well. Always an advantage.

It's 1:13 if you cycle direct, .6 of a mile to the Clyde.
Downhill is good, uphill from any direction not good but some local knowledge helps make it slightly easier although in a more slightly longer way, NCN 75 helps although we have a stretch on it that says 25% but maxes according to my Wahoo at 19%^_^
I got 6th overall on the Strava segment the other day and I was going downhill on an uphill segment:ohmy:

And on top of a hill, so even if the local river floods we're fine.

Until the roof leaks of course.

Rainstorms that turn the road into a river aren't unusual here but last year we had one that turned the drain at the bottom of our road into a fountain, and that was by no means the bottom of the hill...

Perfect place to escape to in case the rain does get heavy.

You're welcome to visit (hopefully also after November). We have a fantastic view when the rain stops too...

It always astonishes me on local rides that if I follow the Neckar river south from here I end up higher than our apartment, and I'm still in the valley.
What happens if it doesn't stop though. And the end of November is nearly two months away!
